Christmas Wreath

Welcome to day three of the November Rudolph Days Challenge. Since this is the last challenge of 2015, I am celebrating by posting a Christmas card or Christmas project  every day until the end of the month. Hopefully these 6 days of Christmassy posts, will inspire you to enter the November Rudolph Days Challenge. You can enter on this post here.

Today's guest designer is only 9 years old! She is someone very dear to my heart...my very own Grandaughter...Little Miss C.

Little Miss C learned how to make a Christmas Wreath and it is proudly displayed on the railing of their front porch. She was beaming with pride to show it to me so I took a photo so I could share it with all of you.

My eldest daughter (Glamour Girl) has a wreath making party every year. Each person brings collects their own greenery, usually a mixture of cedar, fir and pine boughs. Both of my daughters know where to get holly boughs as well, although it is treated like gold and used sparingly!

During the year, whenever they are out hiking or on picnics, they always keep their eyes peeled for interesting foliage they can come back and retrieve as Christmas time.  Sometimes they use red branches, branches with bright red berries or even curly willow boughs to embellish the greenery.

Here is Little Miss C's Christmas wreath this year. She used a metal frame from Michaels and wired her greenery to the frame. It looks to me like she used cedar boughs and four large sprigs of holly. Once done, she sprayed it heavily with glitter spray and added a tartan bow.

I think she did a great job...how about you?

I think that she did an amazing job, you must be so proud of her. My Granddaughter is only 16 months but I'm so looking forward to us being able to craft together when she's a little older. Thank you for sharing her talent with us X

Your granddaughter's wreath does look lovely. The darker and shiny green and the red berries of the holly are enough to create a festive look on this wreath. And that gorgeous tartan bow is the perfect finishing touch.

Hi Mo, what a wonderful wreath Congratulations to your young grand-daughter! when we were 9ish our primary school teacher had us all make wreaths out of old wire coat-hangers and crepe paper, twisting each piece on! Thanks for the inspiration...Megan

Oh my goodness--this is just gorgeous! Years ago I had a friend who helped us make wreaths, but I wouldn't attempt it now. Wish I was near so your granddaughter could help me make one! At least the football team of my high school sells them as a fundraiser, so I don't mind spending the money & they are always very pretty. Must be loosing my mind to have missed linking my card back to RD. I had that in mind as I made the card. Thanks so much for letting me know, Mo--happy weekend!

Tell Little Miss C I love her wreath and if she had lived nearby I would have ordered one from her.

Amazing wreath, Little Miss C! I made one last year for the first time, at a workshop. It was nowhere near as lovely as this one. What a creative granddaughter you have, Mo.xx
