Silhouettes

Here is another of the inspirational cards I made at my weekly crafting day up at the lake.

I continued on with using the chipboard shapes from Michaels and whitewashed the edges again...yep, just like my previous post. I kept embellishments to just a few clear diamond bling bits that I added to the chandelier. Here is a bit of a close up.
Recipe
Card base - From my stash; Michaels Recollections brand square textured card set
DP - Prima Lyric
Card Stock - Kraft snippets from my stash
Dies - Spellbinders Floral Ovals and Spellbinders Fancy Ribbons Die
Chipboard - from my stash; Michaels dollar bins
Sentiment- from my stash 7 Gypsies stickers, Trousseau
Bling - from my stash

I am entering this card in the following challenges

1.Pixies Crafty Workshop - must use snippets

You do the romantic, shabby chic style so well! What a gorgeous paper, looks like wallpaper! And the whitewashed edges of the chipboards are such a great detail, perfect for this style.

I promise you and I will make some oriental cards when you get back home after your trip. My lovely friend Rocky sent me a lot of papers Maureen and I have a gorgeous Joanna Sheen CD - so will continue to make oriental cards every so often. Right I'm off to have a look at your other creations and catch up with what you've been doing! Karen x

Simply vintage & beautiful. I adore that cameo shape, and how perfectly it emphasized your drop chandelie image. The DP looked like old fashioned wallpaper, and your bling & rose wreath around the chandelier...just stunning. Great card. I see a familiar s/Binder too. Isn't it so versatile? TFS & have fun.

Hi Maureen,

I love what you did with the chandelier! just enough sparkle to really make it stand out.

I know what you mean about the cars being crowded - it was sometimes hard to take the pics because people would walk in front of me while I happen to snap. I'm so glad that digital cameras came along! Not too sure which one I'm going to put on a canvas - and I might actually paint over the photo a bit..... we'll see.

I always enjoy it when you pop over and leave me a comment!

Peace,
Kay

Hi Maureen, this card is really beautiful - I love the silhouette and the DP is gorgeous. The bling looks perfect on the chandelier. Thanks for visiting earlier ... I've been busy finishing off the cushion cover for my sister - she lives in London so I need to get it in the post PDQ. I'm really enjoying reviving my sewing skills and have a couple of projects lined up to keep me busy. Hugs, Elizabeth xx
