March Rudolph Days Challenge

It is once again time for the Rudolph Days Challenge. You have until midnight of the last day of this month to submit a Christmas card or Christmas project, and don't forget to leave a comment on this post!

It seems as though time has sped by since I last posted. Al is still recovering quite well. He can now walk 40 min on the flat and that means he can now pop out to pick up the odd groceries at the small whole foods shop that is near us. They have an inhouse butcher and baker, so it is where we like to pick up fresh bread, buns, and meats etc. Al likes that he can get his walking in and can accomplish a task at the same time!

Our design team ladies have been very busy making creations for our enjoyment and inspiration. Sue from Sues Crafty Corner blog has these beautiful black and white Christmas cards made up. I love the look of this beautiful home with that ornate gate It so suits this old building. How wonderful it would be to have a decorated tree outside like this! I also love to see that she has made multiples of this card. Don't forget to pop over to Sue's blog and leave her some praise for these cards.

Next up is Jenny from Cardsarus blog. Jenny has been very busy creating several beautiful Christmas cards showcasing various sweet critters. It is hard to pick a favourite as they are all lovely. What I like best about these cards is the sort of hammered looking gilded paper she used for the mats behind these fabulous images. I always like a hammered or a swirled mirri better than the shiny mirri. I seem to scratch the shiny ones too easily as I work. The hammered look survives all that much better! Hope you will pop over to leave Jenny some praise for these beautiful cards.

Our prize this month is this Find It Media Precious Marieke, Star Swirls die.

Hi Maureen,
I do so hope all is okay in your houshold and Al is getting stronger day bu day.
My Daughter caught Covid the day before e were to go away and we had to go without her as we had already cancelled three times before.
Now she is back in work and nearly all her staff and clints have got it so I havn't seen her for weeks as she is scared she might have it on her clothes as she pops in from work.
I came back with a dreadful cold which my sister shared with me that was nice of her. LOL.
So no visits from family for Mothering Sunday as I dont' want to spread my germs.
Not Covid though thank goodness as I have tested negative a few times since the cold started.
In any rate lets hope you and your family are all A1 in health cause you need a break from health issues.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Wow, so many beautiful cards! I like Sue's cards as it's such a great idea for the recipients to colour them, especially if they have children, love this idea! Jenny's cards are gorgeous - I adore these owls and fawns - I love animals so much! So good to read that Al continues to improve! What a blessing! Hope you are doing great as well! Have a nice weekend and I shall be back later to join your Rudolph Days, so grateful for the inspiration!

I have just added my card Mo..I know don't collapse with the shock..lol, as I am usually one of the last. I love Sue's monochromatic scene..so elegant and pretty, and four of them which is great, and Jenny has made four beauties using these cute deer and barn owl images, and the gold she used looks so glittery with them. I'm so pleased that Al is doing well and able to get his exercise and get groceries at the same time..definitely good progress. x

I put the wrong URL in my entry (#26) so put in a second entry with the right URL - sorry about that!

Beautiful cards from the design team as always and what great news about Al. Being able to take care of a few chores while he gets his daily walk in is a bonus I'm sure, for you both. I need to get to my card making in the next day or so but first I need to reorganize my craft room after having the grandkids here making cards for the day, haha!

What great news about Al, and I give you lots of credit as well, because we know it's a group effort. Those are such beautiful card samples and I agree about foil scratching so easily. It's so frustrating to finish a card and then see a scratch on the shiny foil after you're done.

How wonderful that Al can accomplish his daily walk and do a helpful chore at the same time! This is really encouraging news. Well done to you both on his recovery and continued improvement!!
Lovely cards by both ladies. Thank you for the inspiration and for this wonderful challenge that keeps me from letting my blog just go dormant during some times of the year!!
Have a beautiful day.
