A very late entry for the Christmas Card Club - Anything Goes

This card is almost two months late. That is very late indeed. Sylvie at Gibmiss blog hosted The Christmas Card Club theme of Anything Goes, for the fortnight beginning June 11, 2017. Pop over to Sylvie's blog to see her beautiful cards, Gibraltar style! The other ladies in our club are listed in my sidebar and I have hyperlinks with the names to take you straight to their blogs. You will not be disappointed!

I have used two NBUS items on this card. The Woodware Christmas Date stamp is a fairly new NBUS. It was a gift from a very good friend in England.. You know who you are and I hope to get back over to have a day out with you again!

This stamp cried out to be paper pieced. I used my NBUS Tim Holtz Yuletide paper pad for the plaid background and then from that same TH pad, I chose a mossy green dotted paper  for the holly, and a red chevron for the number 25.  I pop dotted these all forward with very thin black foam dots.

I cut a wee snippet of red Bazzill  for the berries...this is proof that it is worth while to save even teensy pieces! I found a snippet of a very roughly textured kraft card for the mat and inked the edges liberally with an Ingvild Bolme black chalk ink and added four red nailheads to the corners.

This was a very fun card to make and I think I will look thru my snippets boxes and chose some other DP colours and patterns so I can make up half a dozen more!!!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

1. Pixies Crafty Workshop - must use snippets.
2. Christmas Card Club - Anything Goes

Our designers have been busy making some wonderful inspiration for you all.

First up is Sam at Whispers Cards
Sam has made this fabulous fancy fold card...with lovely Old World looking Santa images. I am itching to try this fold now.   The Santa charm is such a wonderful embellishment here. The reds, greens and golds suit these Santa's!

Jenny at Cardsarus  has made this elegant fancy folded round easel card. Loving the pop of the white against the blue and all the fabulous dies here.

You can pop over to Sam and Jenny's blogs by just clicking on their blog names where I have embedded a hyperlink straight to them!

My card has a decoupage image. My NBUS item is the plaid background paper. It is from a 6x6 Basic Grey, Jovail paper pad I bought at the Papercraft garage sale. Think I paid $2.00 for the unopened pad. It has lots of lovely design papers.

The trees are a Sue Wilson die. There are a lot of sizes of tree dies in this set.  One evening, I sat and used up a lot of green coloured snippets cutting out a lot of these trees in various sizes.  I inked them up with Ingvild Bolme chalk inks and am really happy with the results..

The Merry Christmas die is Elizabeth Crafts. I cut it from heavyweight red Bazzill card...the same red card I used for the scalloped mat.

The snowflakes are another NBUS item. They are Memory Box Twilight Snowflakes. A light touch of Wink Of Stella finished off this card with a little Christmas sparkle!

Our prize this month is a choice of this Stampendous Snowy Postcard cling stamp,

or this Memory Box Reindeer Circle die.

June Rudolph Days Winner

51 entries!  I am so pleased.  Hurrah...

Please excuse my slightly late drawing today but it is Canada Day and we have been busy here.
I used Random Org and drew number 35 Loll.

I think this is Loll's second win here, so this is proof that randomness has no boundaries! Congratulations, Loll.

Could you email me your mailing address, and I will get your prize mailed off.

Off to celebrate Canada Day. It is our 150 year Celebrations so there are many outings to enjoy. We are off to listen to some great live bands at a local park.
