Up, Up, and Away

I spent some time in my craft room today, getting a couple of the shoeboxes better sorted. I decided to focus on the UFO boxes. After getting two of them sorted, I cam to the realization that most of those cards are sitting in there unfinished, 'cuz I didn't like most of them enough to finish them!

Oh well, at least I am being honest! I don't hate them...just not really into most of them.  Since my family members sometimes take some of my cards to use, I decided that it does not really matter if I love them or not...so...I managed to get a couple of them completed and thus freed from their UFO jail.

This card was originally partly finished at a Stampin Up card night. I loved all the other cards I made that night, but lost interest at this one. I managed to get one almost finished that night so had a pattern to duplicate.  Two more awaited finishing, and here is the final result.


The stamps, clouds, EF and papers are all Stampin Up. Not sure of the names but know they are SU. I really liked the clouds cut out that way but didn't really ever get into that hot air balloon craze when it was popular. I made a couple of mistakes when I stamped the bases of the hot air balloons, so I hid those by placing the balloon portion over them and then restamped the bases. I pop dotted the balloons for some extra depth...

So, I have  two more cards finally finished and released from the  UFO box,  I am happy about that!

No challenges for these as they are not my designs and not my snippets...

    Glad you are getting through the UFOs I know what you mean about not feeling right about some and it takes a revisit to sometimes sort them. Well done for persevering with all your hidden stash. Zx

    There's absolutely nothing wrong about this card. It's a beautiful springlike and uplifting card. But I know what you mean. I often get nicer comments on cards I don't care for than the ones I'm really happy with myself, it's a matter of taste, yes, but how I feel about a card is much impacted by how I felt while making it too.

    It's a super card Mo and I do like the balloons. I always try to finish unliked cards to put in the box to give to charity as I think they may be liked by someone else xx
