I was just filing away my inspiration card for the June Rudolph Days Challenge and realized that what I thought was part of the design of the Christmas Tree in the die cut was actually little circles to paint, or add teensy circles to create the effect of baubles! I also added a snippet of silver glitter card behind the star at the top of the tree! Boy oh boy, do I ever feel silly that I did not figure this out originally!!!
So I have redone my card and here is the unveiling of my corrections...
Well it is a very swirly tree, and shows we don't have to follow rules, but it does look good with the baubles and star! Xxx
ReplyDeleteThe original is lovely but this is even more so. You could use those little circles for sequins, gems or pearls too, making it a very versatile die as it will look different every time
ReplyDeleteHi Maureen,
ReplyDeletewell your card sure looked fine to me the first time, but I must admit it does pop slightly more with the baubles and the star now.
I have a confession to make I think my Rudolf card was one I have shown before as I made 2 similar ones with the left over hats and didn't realize tilll looking at my cards I had shown before.
Sorry for that I obviously picked out the wrong one in my hurry to email you.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Lovely card and the glittered baubles look great!:)
ReplyDeleteI've seen it used both ways - it does look lovely with the baubles.
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful either way Maureen, but love the additions you've made.

Hi this is a stunning Christmas card I love it. Great use of dies. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteIt looks good, but I liked it just the way it was before, too. It wasn't a mistake; just personal preference. Kate xx
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely - [art - full of mistakes we fix] you did fab!
ReplyDeleteI never even noticed that your tree had babbles when I looked at the original one either Mo! I thought it looked beautiful and still think the original one looks beautiful. Now with that said, I am loving this one too. The red babbles look great and makes for another beautiful card. But the first one looked equally beautiful! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteAaah my lovely friend, you do make me giggle, but to be honest it's usually me, that does this sort of thing - your card is looking stunning now, the red and glitter have lifted the tree, Luv Sam x
ReplyDeleteI scrolled down to check the original and I may be crazy, but I think they both look perfectly fine with or without the red baubles on the tree! Don't be so hard on yourself, you did a great job with both versions :)
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful card and very festive looking tree now.
ReplyDeleteAn easy mistake Maureen - I didn't spot anything wrong with the original, it looks pretty with the addition of the red 'baubles'.

I love this card and the original! No one would ever realise you had made a mistake on the first one if you hadn't said! I certainly wouldn't. Hugs xxx
ReplyDeleteYes, you did amazing job with this die, this card looks stunning.
ReplyDeleteHugs xx
Both versions are pretty Mo! But I do like how the red is brought into the Christmas tree ... so pretty and sparkly! xx
ReplyDeleteLooks fabulous in both versions Mo, it's a beautiful die and a lovely design.

I probably wouldn't have noticed either Mo, but it does look extra pretty with the silver star and red baubles. x
