Plain and Simple

Hope you do not think this card is too plain and simple to be posted.

The image is UPcycled from a thank you card we received from Anna, a family member in England.  I loved that adorable puppy so saved the card front and die cut it once I got home. Yes, you know where it ended up...in the homemade card kit box! It has sat there for a couple of years now...shame on me....

I assemble my card kits in 6x6 clear sleeves. I tossed in the image, a kraft large scalloped circle die, a snippet of jute type cord, and this tag from a package of goodies I won some time ago.

I merely ticked some teensy diamonds onto the flowers on the tag, mounted that on a snippet of unknown  DP from my bits box, and then added the matted puppy image. A snippet of jute cord tied in a bow and this card was finished.

Funny how the angle of the photo makes it look like I tilted the tag...I did not tilt it as I felt the DP dots looked  weird that way...now here it is in the photo looking very tilted indeed!  lol

Another card into the finished cards box and best of all., well under a half hour from start to finish!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
1. Pixies Crafty Workshop - must use snippets

  5. Oh Mo, never too plain and simple. this is just gorgeous as it is! The image and tag go together so beautifully too - especially with the dusky pink spotted background.

I know what you mean about things sometimes looking 'wonky' in photos - yet you can see how perfectly you've got those dots lined up with the tag. I could be s wrong but sometimes, if a card is leaning back even just a little bit, the top can look marginally narrower in a photo which can give the 'wonky effect'. Since we changed things round here I often shoot my photos with the card lying flat - not as interesting I know and even then I have to be sure the camera is absolutely flat downwards to avoid narrowing at top or bottom.
