I have mentioned before about how nice it is to work with these particular chalk inks. They have a upward shape which provides a handle of sort. Fits these old worn out hands so well! No cramped fingers working with these!
The sailboat and the ships wheel are 3D decoupaged stickers. The sails of the boat have lots of sparkley glitter.
Here is an interior view of my card... luckily, there was one snippet of the map paper left for us to share.

This time I resized just enough to fit the image on my screen and then I cropped it and resized it again, back to just under 800 pixels. I think it looks less grainy...how about you?
No recipe today, as these were my neighbour's supplies...although the stamp is from Michael's and the 3D elements are from the Dollar Store.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:

This is really lovely Maureen and I would love to receive a card like this even though, I guess, it is more for a fellah!!! lol. I'm very jealous of your weekly crafting days with your neighbour, wish I lived just a bus ride away - oh now I'm giggling again! I think the layers are gorgeous and particularly love the 'tatty' edges on them. This is amazing.

ReplyDelete"Shiver my timbers" I am loving this!!! So happy you shared and played along with our INSIDE OUT challenge at The Kraft Journal! Love This fantastic sailing card!
ReplyDeleteOh Wow! Maureen, this is really a stunning look. Those are unfamiliar chalks to me, but they surely worked beautifully to distress the edges. I really like the torn map pieces against that circular paper. Kraft was the perfect base for this effort. That decoupage sailboat was fab with all the previous effects you had. You & your neighbor created some awesome look on this card. TFS & Hugs.

ReplyDeleteHonestly, when I see grainy photos I just think it's my eyes. Your never looked grainy to me... you know any more than the rest of the world looks grainy. Should I not be admitting to my terrible eyesight here? I still have to drive home you know!
