Here are my two February Rudolph Day cards. Card One...
The poinsettia images were coloured this summer up at the lake and then stored in my coloured images binder. How I love this little book! When I need a card in a hurry for a challenge or for a giveaway, I check out my binder to see if I have anything that would work. Here is a close up...
Today is Craft day with my neighbour and my turn to design a card for us. I kitted up one of poinsettia coloured images and papers, for her too. Each card was the same basic design but I used various random snippets from my scrap drawers. We made up three of the poinsettia image cards.
Here is the inside of my card.
Don't know what I am doing wrong lately but I can't seem to get a crisp, clear, in focus image...Perhaps this one is a bit clearer...
Card 2 - I made one last card using some Anna Griffin Christmas Kitsch vellum quote stickers. I have the silver and gold book of these quotes as well...so expect to see a lot of these this year. Again I used some of my really tiny snippets to make the flags. I promise that it is centered on the card...I had to play with how I held the camera to avoid the glare off the glittered card.
The inside...

Hi Maureen two wonderful Christmas cards. The poinsettia is coloured beautifully and a good idea to have some coloured images to hand, they take so long to colour! Love those colourful vellum quotes I've not seen anything like those over here they are gorgeous! Susan xx
ReplyDeleteThree fab cards Mo, nice traditional colours which are always pleasing on the eye and especially like the first with the banners.

Hi Mo . . . two wonderful and colourful Christmas cards here. Banners are SOOO on trend (as they say these days).
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in with Rudolph Day.
Hugs, Sarn xxx
Lovely cards. I especially like the first one because I think poinsettias lend themselves to crafting and make a lovely splash of colour. It is tricky photographing the glitter or holographic card isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me earlier. The reverse stamp is very easy though I am not sure you are supposed to do it. I stamp it in black and scan it into my computer as a jpg. Then in Publisher or another graphics program, I right click and mirror or flip image. Then you have the reversed image to use like a digi-stamp.
Both card are so beautiful... Love the designs...The poinsettia is Gorgeous...Love the banners too... Hugs May x x x
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous Mo. Love the ribbons.
ReplyDeleteYou asked how I got straight(ish) pictures of my cards. I lay them flat on the windowsill or bowl and stand above them, using the screen to align them and check they are straight which tends to do it for me. If I try to take them standing up they don't seem to work for me.

PS have you had something from me? Getting worried as you haven't mentioned it and it was sent nearly 2 weeks ago! x
I love both these cards with their flag banners. It is great way to use up snippets. Also, these are a great idea for fairly quick holiday cards (especially if you already have the image colored!).
ReplyDeleteHi Mo, both cards are just lovely. Lucky you to be getting ahead. You are such an amazing creative talent and you inspire me in so many ways. Hugs, joann

ReplyDeleteWonderful Christmas cards and this is so much fun. We get to see and make Christmas cards - and just a little every month instead of everything just rush, rush, rush.

OH! LOVE the glitter. Both cards are beautiful and I love that you had some fun on the insides, too!
ReplyDeleteWell DONE Miz Mo! You know I love the poinsettia one. Liked your beautiful coloring, and the bright banners. I'm in awe that you are still finishing off the insides too - and so pretty. #2 was a stunner with the silvery background. I think your stickers were a very inspired purchase! You used them so successfully to create this nifty card front. I always enjoy reading about your 'craft bargains'. You use them, not just toss in the stash as I do! (I didn't manage one R card, let alone 2. Gotta do better next month). TFS, Hugs & Happy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteLove your cards! Love your idea of an images binder, the up cycling of the sentiment, and that you have a crafty neighbour you lucky thing! xxx
ReplyDeleteTwo very beautiful cards and love the idea of a coloured image binder. You are so organized!
