No card today...just a sweet little story. Well, it might not seem so sweet to Mr Scrappymo!
I picked up Little Mr P from kindergarten last week. His class was doing graduated entry so he was done about an hour before Little Miss C.
As we were walking home together, he asked me if my Dad was picking me up. I replied that Grandpa was picking me up. He said that is who he meant! I gently told him that Grandpa is my husband, not my Dad.
He looked a little perplexed for a moment and then asked "If he is your husband...how come he has grey hair" lol
Thank goodness for my hair colour...that is all I can say!
Ah kids, don't you just love 'em!!!! It's amazing how their minds work isn't it? You'd better not go grey Maureen!!! Have a good weekend. Christine xx
ReplyDeleteToo funny :) Read this out to Len and he laughed too :)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Di xx
Lovely story Maureen and great to think that he sees you as being so young too! Hugs, Anne x
ReplyDeleteThis story really brought a smile to my face, Maureen.
ReplyDeleteI will share one with you too. My grandmother passed away when my nephew was about 3 years old, and he was coming with us for the funeral. We had explained that his great-grandmother now was in heaven, and he seemed very satisfied with that. During the service when the coffin was being lowered he burst out - and you know how a child's voice can be heard loud and clear in a church - "They're bringing her DOWN??? I thought she was going UP - to heaven!"
LOL Maureen me and Paul had a good chuckle to this:) huggles hun Sue xxx
ReplyDeleteHilariou, kids are so funny at times, love how they reason!

LOVED this! Brought back memories - one of the twinks said the same thing to me one time! Papa didn't like it very much, LOL!!
ReplyDeleteTeehee that is so cute.
ReplyDeleteWayne was mistaken for my dad a few years ago. I thought it was hilarious..he didn't mind though :)
Yep, definitely a cute story. My GP said when he & his wife were expecting their 1st child, a little neighbor asked his wife, why her "daddy" wasn't out mowing their grass! Kids come out with the darndest things...they are so honest in their thoughts. Refreshing isn't it? Bet Mr. P is glad you are home to pick him up once more. TFS
ReplyDeleteHaa Haa! Very funny!

ReplyDeleteThey say the cutest things don't they. My daughter was telling me today that her 4yr old son noticed her new pj's and asked who bought them. She replied by saying that her Mum & Dad did. He looked a bit perplexed by that and demanded to know who they were. When my daughter told him that they were his Nan & Gran he burst into tears and said "they can't be I don't want to share them with you!" hugs Mrs A.
