This is a scheduled post as I am on holidays at the moment. I will not have regular access to internet but will return any visits once I do. Sorry in advance for the delays in followup visits!
Once again it is time for the Christmas Card Club fornight theme.
Asha chose "Your Favourite Christmas Carol" as the theme this fortnight. " Oh Christmas Tree" was the inspiration for my card. I love singing that song as I decorate the tree. In fact I love to crank some assorted Christmas tunes and sing along quite loudly as I work!!!
This is another image from the stamping class at my local scrapbook store. Stamping it was like putting up a real tree...if the trunk was straight, then the top looked crooked and vice versa. I decided to go with both of them slightly off center...If you stare at the image for vertical balance you will see what I mean!
I decided to make this card totally from my scraps. The DP are both leftovers from previous cards and the strip of glittered, adhesived ribbon is a leftover scrap from a dollar store package. You probably recall this poinsettia...it has surfaced on several cards previously. I have a few packages of them as I got them on a super clearance at Michaels quite some time ago.
Recipe
Card and Envelope - from my stash, Michaels Recollections 5 1/2" square white textured
DP - MME Xmas
Cardstock - red from my snippets stash
Mirri card - American Crafts Christmas Foils
Dies - Spellbinder ovals and scalloped oval
Ribbon - glitter self adhesive ribbon from Dollarama
Flower - Poinsettia from my stash, Michaels dollar bins
Stamps - from a stamping class at my scrapbook store
I am entering this card in the following challenges
1. Pixies Crafty Workshop - Must use snippets
2. CHNC Extra - Christmas, always anything goes
4. MFP Speedy TV Christmas Card Challenge - Always Anything Goes, must be Christmas
5. Christmas Card Challenge - Favourite Christmas Carol

Mo, you have such pretty snippets! I love this card. Didn't notice your tree problem, until I read your story. Then looking at it, saw - sort of - what you meant. That's delightful, and you've no idea how realistic it looks, cause we've had trees that did exactly that scenario! Your DP was perfect with this cute tree, and the sparkly foil mat. Your Mike's poinsettia find was a true winner on this card! Hope you're having so much fun, and getting in a little rest now & again! Hugs & TFS
