Day 6 OK now!
Let's keep this short and sweet...Limiting pain meds to T3's only resulted in a single episode of falling blood pressure. To me, that was good news!
But it was still one more than the doctor wanted to see. So, a new sort of expected question "Do you think you could manage with just tylenol...no T3's"?.
A quick nod of my head and we were off and running.
Day 6 produced the required results...Tylenol only and no more crashing blood pressure!!! YAY!!!
Going home is getting closer!
Just the pesky leg pain problem to be sorted, the bladder infection to be well on it's way, and I can go home!
Hi there, just got your comment on my blog so I thought I'd pop on over and see how you are doing.
ReplyDeleteIt seems I am rather behind with your news - didn't realise you'd had your op already. Have been having a catch up and reading your daily posts - I can't believe how chirpy you sound after having had back surgery!! I don't think I'd be posting that soon - notwithstanding the fact that, as far as I'm aware, we don't have internet access in hospitals here!
I'm so glad the op has gone well, and you are recovering. Hope the blood pressure evens out and you get to go home soon.
I loved Miss C's card - you'd asked ages ago how She Who Must be Obeyed writes. I posted a card from her a couple of days ago.
This is the post:

You know, when you are feeling better, if you wanted to let me know your address I'd love to send you a little card. No probs if you'd rather not, but would like to if is OK.
Will be back soon to check on you ;-)
Sarah
And I just realised that I never get your updates because I'm not a follower!!
ReplyDeleteHave now fixed that.

Wow, just got caught up on all of your experiences in the hospital, sounds like your are on the mend, I am so glad to hear that. I'm sending well wishes and healing thoughts your way. Thank goodness for all of the kind and wonderful nurses in the world, they really keep those hospitals running don't they. I'd love to send you a card if you'd like, my email is kingb52@comcast.net, let me know your address.

ReplyDeleteI hope you are dealing with the pain with only the Tylenol. You are a tough Chickie that's for sure.
Take care
Looks like you are the right side of things now, fingers crossed! Yes, I do have Canadian roots, I was born there and so was my Mum and her Dad. I lived there until I married and Englishman and have lived in the UK for over 40 years now, but still consider Canada to be my home! Keep well and keep improving.......Crafty hugs, Anne x
