These is not much on my workdesk this week as we are up at the RV. This is our gazebo/outdoor dining room/craft table. There is a big evergreen in the foreground of my photo and it gives some much needed shade when it is 40 C.
Here is the reason I can usually manage to get a bit of papercrafts done when we are up at the RV. Hubby goes fishing for the morning and I get set up in the gazebo to make some cards. I have made my Christmas cards up here at times...it is so much easier to bring one theme and just work on that, off and on over the summer.
Unfortunately, the lake is really high and boating is being discouraged right now as the wakes from the boats can contribute to the flooding. One of the other local RV resorts is under water and the water is cresting on the highway in spots. Several waterfront homes are flooded and my heart goes out to all those affected by this high water.
Very little papercrafts are getting done here this week since the boat is stuck in its moorage!
We have had company up for the last couple of days, have another friend coming Thursday to Saturday and a third friend arriving Saturday afternoon! Fingers crossed the fellows go off to sightsee and I can get tucked in at the gazebo!
If you would like to learn more about what is on all the other workdesks around the world, check in with Julia http://stamping-ground.blogspot.ca/2012/07/whats-on-your-workdesk-wednesday-161.html and leave her a comment!
looks like a fun place to be even if you can't be out on the boat. Have a fun week. Vickie #36
ReplyDeleteRVs. DOH! DH loves them and me, it's my idea of hell. But glad YOU are enjoying it, despite the holiday from your crafty space!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy,
MA (1)
I agree it looks like a great place to be in the summer!
ReplyDeleteNow if I came to visit we could craft together.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures of an alternative way of life, oh to be needing shade - we have had nothing but rain and no sun for simply ages.
Thanks for sharing and visiting me - Hugs, Neet #3 xx
You must be melting in all that heat ...love the photos.#10
ReplyDeleteWow, looks fabulous! Hope you're having a great time. Di xx #5
ReplyDeleteNow that's the kind of place that I would be very happy working in! Lovely photos, enjoy your holiday. Anne x #49
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely there!
ReplyDeleteHope you are able to get in a little boat time at least! :)
Camping in style. If I were to camp, that is the way I would go. Hope you get some crafting in. #17

LOL! Now I get it! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I am hoping you get lots of craft time in!!
I love camping and we go quite a few times a year. Friends of ours have a trailer and we often get a bigger pitch and share (we have a tent), it's a lot of fun. Hope you can get out on the water soon, shame about the flooding, the weather has been pretty dire in the different regions so far this year. It's now too hot to be outside so I might just go and mess up my clean desk!

Now this is the way to camp! Lovely area, but keep your pants legs rolled up just in case!

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous little get away, send some of that water over here, we need it, the creek is barely flowing! Keep the heat though, we have plenty of that! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina with a hot gog in one hand and a flag in the other! :) #37
ReplyDeletewe leave tomorrow in the RV and i hope to finish a swap on the road. Wish we had all that water here!
ReplyDeleteMonica #102
Well, if you can't papercraft taking fantasic photos is the next best thing & you've done a wonderful job of it. Not much of a camper myself...I thought I was the only one who took along her papercrafting supplies, lol.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your holiday & oh yeah, I just became a follower. hugs
We were really hit with the high waters. Our deck was under water. It has receded, but is still high.
ReplyDeleteAnd I see it is pouring out right now.
Looks like a nice place to stay.
Love the gazebo :)
Gosh now that is a really comfy setup and the way camping should be done. I do like tents in the bush too. It looks like a lovely place to sit back and relax. I hope your visitors don't need much doing as your paper crafting is so important.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Eliza
I thought it was just some places ion the UK getting flooded at the moment! Gosh the weather is rather unpredictable lately. Thanks for stopping by BJ#18
ReplyDeleteoh wow what a cool set up you have! love it!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're having a nice time away.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your great comment on my blog - love it!! Yes, I've learnt so much from my fellow WOYWWers too, and from Blogland in general. Starting my blog opened the floodgates of my creativity and I can't tell you what joy it's brought me, not to mention all the wonderful friends I've made!
As for learning about the Dylusions sprays, there are plenty of Youtube videos and blogs - just search, and you'll find some gems. This is what got me wanting them in the first place.
The holder for the nibs is great - so easy to use - you just push them in, and it makes them much easier to hold and use. It won't break the bank, either!
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #25
Great view and great set-up. My folks have an RV. I love going along with them. Never get any papercrafting done but my mom takes manages to squeeze some in.
ReplyDeletebelated happy WOYWW! sound like a lot of fun and a nice change, RV living!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing!

It looks like you have a little piece of paradise. Real shame about the flooding, poor people. Enjoy and hope you get just a little bit of crafting done :)
ReplyDeleteVon #32
Looks like a fun place, there is nothing more wonderful than being by the water!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun place to be over the summer. Sorry you aren't getting as much done as you'd like. What a great work space for you!
ReplyDeleteOh that looks like such fun. I wish I could join you in your gazebo and craft while the men go fishing (although I like fishing too.) I like the idea of crafting in nature. I have a deck at home and sometimes lug my stuff downstairs from my room to craft. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteWhere is the place you are at with all the high waters? So sorry to hear some people are experiencing flooding.
Oh I looked back at your cards on the site and they are really beautiful.
Thanks for visiting my desk yesterday. I am feeling better. Less coughing.
Hope to see you again next week.
Belinda (31)
How fun. I bet is smells great in among the trees!
ReplyDeleteI like the little set up for visitors!
Happy WOYWW

Lots of rain and flooding going on here just now too although we don't have the heat you do. Your RV looks a lot bigger than our caravan, love the outdoor area, great for crafting.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy, hugs Erika.
I'm with some of the others: I'd be doing more staring off at the lake than down at my crafting! I'm sorry that the lake is high (and about the flooding) and keeping DH from fishing. Hope it cools off and lowers soon! Thanks, as always, for visiting me! Darnell #35
ReplyDeleteWhat a great worktable for the summer! Hope the water level lowers soon - so you'll have some time to stamp!
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely there - sounds like England with the flooding although we dont have the heat problem here at the moment! Enjoy making your Christmas cards - might start making mine soon too (usually do in July!). Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spot to sit and craft.
ReplyDeleteIt looks totally idyllic but such a shame the men folk aren’t able to take the boat out and leave you to enjoy your open air craft space.
Thanks for stopping by this week and……
Happy Crafting!
Sue

Oh dear, not good on the flooding front! Sounds like your part of the world is suffering just as much as us - I know Britain doesn't normally get much of a summer, but this year is just umbelievable! Love your RV - please treat us to some pics of the inside...
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
I love traveling with my art supplies too. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteHeat and flooding...what a way to spoil such a beautiful place! Hope the weather improves for all of you up there so you can enjoy your summer getaway spot!
ReplyDeleteLovely place to craft, always fancied a holiday in an RV, maybe of these days we will actually do it.
ReplyDeleteHi there - sorry am bit late this post looks like it is fun even if not all as one would like! hope you have great weather - thanks for popping over and happy WOYWW, Shaz in Oz.x #73
ReplyDeleteWell, doesn't that look like the nicest place for a holiday - wait a minute, I'll be over for a visit later!! LOL What a lovely looking place - sorry the lake is high but it's not as bad as the UK at the moment...it's dreadful here!! I've forgotten what the sun looks like!!
ReplyDeleteHUgs, LLJ #60 xx
What a lovely holiday spot. Thanks for visiting.
ReplyDeleteSandra @99
Lots of flooding over here as well. Of course, we've all forgotten what the sun looks like! But at least you get to sit and relax and look at a view. All batteries recharging nicely, I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your holiday, cheers rachel #53
Hope the waters subside and you get back to your crafty haven soon. enjoy the sun while you can though, and if possible send a blink of it over our way. Our kids are off on school holiday and cant do much outside in this weather.
ReplyDeletethanks for popping by earlier
