Just a quick post to say the weigh in bag and I made it home 1.2 pounds lighter this week. Did not lose anything last week so this week was a struggle to stay focused. I am down 21.2 pounds in total so I am really pleased with that.
I had mentioned on my WOYWW post that I have been quite fatigued lately. I have also been freezing cold for a few months whereas normally I am always roasting hot. I found out this week that I have hypothyroidism so the doctor started me on Synthroid tablets to help even it out. Apparently I should start to feel less tired (and warmer) in about a month. Yay!
Can't have a pesky thyroid problem interfering with my paper crafts!
...weigtloss is never an easy or pleasurable thing so well done :) and great you got a diagnosis for your simptoms...normal life will resume...Mel :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent news about your weigh in and hope you feel less tired soon.

congrats on your weight loss - that is awesome!!! Hope you get to feeling better soon!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your weight loss!! :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent weight loss - I struggle to lose weight because I have impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) but I also have to lose weight because I have IGT - I can't win :) Now that you have a diagnosis and medication you should start feeling more lively again - nothing worse than feeling constantly tired and cold. Thanks for the comment you left on my snowdrops layout - they are modest wee flowers that don't get enough publicity in my view :) I got the 100% used stash icon from the home of the Use It Up pledge - they are there for us to download and use every time we post a post a project that is made entirely from stuff in our stash ... for me that is 99.9% of my projects :)) Here's the link:

Congrats on the new weight loss, I admire your will power! I'm with Jo, hope the pills kick in really fast!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the weight loss!! Something to be proud of for sure :)
ReplyDeleteKeep going with the weight loss, it's always tough but sounds like you are going the right direction.
ReplyDeleteI always struggled to lose weight until I became diabetic four years ago, then three stone just fell off, but not a route I would recommend from choice !
Your comment about my blog appearance got me a bit paranoid as I just see a mottled pink background on my desktop and lappy. So I switched all the office computers (7) this morning and I see the same, no music. So perhaps it's your computer settings ?
Whatever it is, have a Happy Mothering Sunday.

Congrats on the loss, it's a pound in the right direction! I'm doing OK on mine, no scale though, but my right knee isn't hurting like before and less struggle going up and down the stairs! You are my inspiration, no pressure! lol waving hi from the sunny hills of North Carolina :)
ReplyDeleteHuge congrats on your weight loss! I think that's great!!! I'm sorry to hear about your hypothyroidism. I hope the doctor is able to help you warm up! Thanks so much for the comment on my page on the Scraptastic Club blog.
ReplyDeleteif you can, be sure to take the name brand Synthroid - not the generic. There IS a difference. I have been on it for 12 years now. It made all the difference in the world for me - if you don't start to feel better, push your DR to up your dose - remember "just because it is in the normal range does not mean it is normal for me" - my normal is at the very top of the range, that is where I feel like myself again. My DR is good with this and doesn't hassle me about my high dose, my previous DR thought if you met the minimum range you should be fine. I hope you start to feel like your old self again quickly!
ReplyDeleteHi, me again, please pop over to my blog site as I have an award for you - if you are interested it is the Liebster Blog award - if not that is OK too:O)!

Hope you feel better soon! I've been feeling very similar (fatigued, cold). I've been wondering if my thyroid is off-kilter. I had blood work done about two months ago and it came back normal. I don't want anything to mess with my paper crafting too! lol!
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful news on your weight loss. You are making wonderful progress. Congrats. That is not an easy thing to do!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your weight loss! I know how hard it is to stay focused when progress is slow, but 21.2 pounds is great! Hope you are feeling better. My mom had thyroid problems and that is no fun.
