Don't be too sad about those fallen trees, if they are in a place where they can remain fallen. There was a massive storm in the UK in 1987 and what we thought was a tragedy with so many fallen trees turned out to be a great boost for wildlife, as the fallen trunks provided great habitat for all kinds of plants, animals, birds and insects.
